Resting at 5,280 feet above sea level, with a view of the Rocky Mountains, the city and county of Denver boost a population in excess of just 550,000. The Denver metro area, however, is the 20th largest in the United States, with 2.4 million residents (more than half of the entire state population), and growing.
Located just 346 miles from the exact center of the United States, Denver is a transportation hub. Ranking as the 5th busiest airport in the country, Denver International Airport covers an area twice the size of Manhatten, with over 120 non-stop flights to American Cities. Denver is also a major hub for inter-city bus routes.
In addition to a multitude of shops, offices, event venues, art galleries, hotels, entertainment spots and other attractions, downtown Denver also hosts a Six-Flags amusement park, with 48 thrill rides, formal gardens, restaurants and shops.
